HUNTINGTON BEACH, California – February 15th, 2018 – Professional player Bryan Smith from Tampa Bay has come out of retirement to sign with Indy Mutiny for the 2018 season. It has been two years since Smith played the national circuit. He was recently courted by several professional teams but felt that there was a better fit with the Mutiny camp. This signing reunites Smith with his former Tampa Bay Damage Manager/Coach Joey Blute. Smith is arguably the best professional player in the state of Florida, giving Indy Mutiny a huge boost across all positions.

“I’m happy to be back and playing a sport that so many love, especially with a bunch of young and talented players that the Mutiny camp is saturated with. Looking forward to developing new relationships and chemistry with the guys. It will be a process with an intention to put Mutiny as a top competitor in the sport,” said Bryan Smith.

Regarding the signing, Joey Blute said: “With a player of Bryan’s caliber, he will be a huge asset to the Mutiny camp. I’m looking forward to the 2018 season.”

Mutiny will hit the field in the NXL Semi-Pro division at the 2018 Las Vegas Open in March.
